On March 10, 2025, Europe’s Tibetan community gathered in The Hague to commemorate Tibetan Uprising Day. Exiled Tibetans from across Europe converged there, rallying together to oppose oppression and uphold justice and human rights for Tibet. Also in attendance were Uyghurs, Hong Kongers, Mongolians, and Chinese house church Christians.
Over 100 Christians from The Church of Almighty God (CAG) also joined, united in defending global justice, freedom, and human dignity.
As a Christian group also persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), CAG Christians deeply relate to the suffering of Tibetans. During the march, they held banners reading, “Unite Against CCP Tyranny! Defend Religious Freedom! Stop Human Rights Abuses!” and “The CCP Must Stop Persecuting Tibetans, Religious Believers, and Christians!”—calling on the international community to pay attention to the ongoing religious persecution in China.
The march began on Reagan and Gorbachev Avenue (Laan van Reagan and Gorbachev), winding through the city and passing by the Chinese embassy before returning to the rally site. Along the way, participants held signs and chanted slogans such as “Stop Cultural Genocide!” “Faith Is No Crime!” “Stop Persecution!” and “Respect Human Rights!”—calling for an end to the Chinese government’s religious persecution and human rights abuses.
