Intro
Man is able to suffer for God
and he has come this far because of God’s love,
because of His salvation and judgment
and the work of chastisement in man.
Verse 1
If you are without the judgment of God,
without the chastisement and trials from Him,
if God has not made you suffer,
then you won’t be able to truly love Him.
The greater God’s work in man,
and the greater that man is suffering,
the more it shows how meaningful God’s work is,
the more that man’s heart can truly love God.
Chorus
Man’s love of God is built on two things:
the refinement and judgment of God.
If you only enjoy the grace of God,
with a peaceful life or worldly blessings,
then your faith has not been a success,
and you have not gained God.
Verse 2
Now man sees with just God’s mercy, grace and love,
he can never truly know himself,
he’ll never be able to understand
or grasp the essence of mankind.
Only through refinement and judgment of God,
only during the process of refinement,
can man know about his shortcomings
and the fact that he has nothing.

Man’s love of God is built on two things:
the refinement and judgment of God.
If you only enjoy the grace of God,
with a peaceful life or worldly blessings,
then your faith has not been a success,
and you have not gained God.
Bridge
God has done one stage of the work of grace,
has already bestowed blessings on man.
But man cannot be made perfect
with grace, love, and mercy alone.
Verse 3
Man encounters some of God’s love in life.
He sees the love and mercy of God.
Yet, having experienced this for a time,
he sees it’s not able to make man perfect.
Grace and love can’t reveal or resolve corruption.
And it won’t make perfect man’s love and faith.
God’s grace was the work of just one stage;
man can’t rely on the grace of God to know God.
