On July 25, Il Giardino degli Aromi Onlus association held a communal meal in Milan. The participants included more than ten Christians from the Morning Star Association, staff members of Il Giardino degli Aromi Onlus, and volunteers. It promoted friendship between the volunteers and Christians.
At 11:30 a.m., more than a dozen volunteers with different races, colors, and languages came to Il Giardino degli Aromi Onlus to cook the communal meal together with Christians from the Morning Star Association. The Christians patiently and joyfully taught volunteers how to make Chinese dumplings and spring rolls. People shared the food and exchanged food cultures from different countries in a harmonious and warm atmosphere, through which they got to know each other much better.
Il Giardino degli Aromi Onlus association, founded in 2003 with more than 200 members now, aims at helping the disadvantaged groups reintegrate into society and organizes volunteer activities every week. For over two years, the Morning Star Association Christians have continuously taken active part in the volunteer activities. Together with the staff members of Il Giardino degli Aromi Onlus and volunteers, they grow vegetables and do garden maintenance such as pruning, weeding, and cleaning, to contribute to the society.
