No matter how dark the night is and no matter how long the road is, we never feel lonely for God is accompanying us. Every Christian has a hope in their heart, hoping to be raptured into God’s kingdom one day. God is holy and God’s kingdom is holy without filth. Although we have been redeemed by Jesus Christ and our sins have been forgiven, we are still controlled by satanic corrupt dispositions. We often have jealous disputes with others and scheme against each other for the sake of our fame and gain, and status. We don’t show tolerance or patience toward others and we cannot love others. It can be seen that we have not reached holiness. Maybe someone says, “We keep the way of Jesus Christ and practice according to His requirements. We are humble and patient, and love our enemies. We bear the cross and subdue our bodies. We work for the Lord and preach the gospel to testify Him. As long as we strive to pursue in this way, we can reach holiness.” But if we only rely on our perseverance, deliberate repression, and patience, can we really reach holiness, attain God’s salvation, and enter the kingdom of heaven?
God’s word says, “The sins of man were forgiven through the agency of the incarnate God, but this does not mean that man no longer has sin within him. The sins of man could be forgiven through the sin offering, but as for just how man can be made to sin no more, and how his sinful nature may be extirpated completely and transformed, he has no way of solving this problem. The sins of man were forgiven, and this is because of the work of God’s crucifixion, but man continued to live within the corrupt satanic disposition of old. This being so, man must be completely saved from his corrupt satanic disposition, so that his sinful nature may be completely extirpated, never to develop again, thus enabling the disposition of man to be transformed. This would require man to grasp the path of growth in life, to grasp the way of life, and to grasp the way to change his disposition. Furthermore, it would require man to act in accordance with this path, so that his disposition may gradually be changed and he may live under the shining of the light, so that all that he does may be in accord with the will of God, so that he may cast away his corrupt satanic disposition, and so that he may break free from Satan’s influence of darkness, thereby emerging fully from sin. Only then will man receive complete salvation.”
Jesus Christ was nailed to the cross and did the redemption work, redeeming us from sin. Our sins are forgiven when we come before the Lord to confess and repent. However, at that time Jesus Christ did not do the work of cleansing us from our sinful nature. We still have sinful nature within us. Even though we have been forgiven by the Lord by confessing, we still commit sins. If we want to completely break free from the bondage of sin, we need to pursue the truth to see through our satanic corrupt disposition, pursue to conduct ourselves and deal with others according to God’s word, and live by the truth, not by our corrupt disposition. This way we can gain the truth as our life and gain a little change in our disposition. God is the truth, the way, and the life. Only God’s word can reveal our corrupt nature, making us see through our corrupt disposition. Only God’s word can show us the ways of practice, so that our corrupt disposition can be purified and we can gain complete salvation.
Lyrics:
VERSE 1:
Whether now or then
Death is not my end
I know heaven waits for me
Though the road seems long
I’ll never walk alone
I’ve got all I need to sing
PRE-CHORUS:
I know You love me
I know You found me
I know You saved me
And Your grace will never fail me
And while I’m waiting
I’m not waiting
I know heaven lives in me
VERSE 2:
Should I suffer long
This is not my home
I know heaven waits for me
Though the night is dark
Heaven owns my heart
I’ve got all I need to sing
CHORUS:
So I will sing like I will there
In the fearless light of glory
Where the darkness cannot find me
And Your face is all I see
I will sing like a man
With no sickness in my body
Like no prison walls can hold me
I will sing like I am free
BRIDGE:
I’ll sing holy holy
My heart cries holy
As it is in heaven
It is in me
We’ll sing holy holy
The earth cries holy
As it is in heaven
So let it be
