CAG Christians Spent Chinese New Year With Italian Friends

On January 29, 2025, the association La Mia Parte and Christians from The Church of Almighty God (CAG) co-hosted a Chinese New Year’s celebration. Local lawyers, staff from migrant agencies, human rights organizations and volunteer groups, and other caring individuals were invited to attend, bringing together approximately 50 people for the festivities.

At 6:30 PM local time, representatives from The Church of Almighty God and Yohamin, president of the association La Mia Parte, delivered opening remarks, officially kicking off the event. The celebration began with an introduction to the history and development of The Church of Almighty God, followed by a series of amazing performances by CAG Christians.

CAG Christians also screened a video showcasing moments from their lives in Italy, including their participation in volunteer and human rights activities. Seeing CAG Christians who have been persecuted by the CCP remain steadfast in their faith while living abroad, all attendees were deeply moved. One of them remarked, “I admire their strong faith and enjoy speaking with them. These Christians are all very kind.”

During the event, attendees also enjoyed a meal together. While enjoying traditional dishes from different countries, they exchanged cultural and faith-related experiences. Some attendees expressed their appreciation for the event.

To conclude the event, CAG Christians and their Italian friends joyfully welcomed the Chinese New Year with singing and dancing. The CAG Christians performed a traditional Chinese Yangge dance, while Yohamin, the president of the association La Mia Parte, performed African and Spanish dances. The event concluded in a joyful atmosphere filled with music and laughter.
