On March 10, 2025, Tibetans in Germany organized a demonstration in front of the Chinese Embassy in Berlin to commemorate the 66th anniversary of Tibetan Uprising Day. Dozens of Tibetans and their supporters demonstrated their protest by displaying a giant Snow Lion Flag, holding portraits of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and raising banners and signs with slogans such as “Free Tibet!” “Stop the Genocide!” “CCP Must Stop Slaughter of Tibetans!” “Stop Persecution!” and “We Want Human Rights!”
The commemoration was led by Tenzyn Zöchbauer, Director of the Tibet Initiative Deutschland. The event began with an introduction to its background, followed by a speech from Nicole König of the Tibet Initiative Deutschland, who addressed the attendees and explained the significance of the protest in support of Tibetans. In addition, Ray Wong Toi-yeung, Chairman of Freedom for Hong Kong (Freiheit für Hongkong), and Li Lan, a Christian from The Church of Almighty God (CAG), also delivered speeches. Michael Brand, member of the German Parliament and Chairman of the German Parliamentary Group for Tibet, expressed support for Tibetans on behalf of the German Parliamentary Group for Tibet.
Christians of The Church of Almighty God also attended the demonstration to show their support for Tibetans in their pursuit of freedom and human rights. Among the participants were also representatives of Freedom for Hong Kong and the Association for the Defense of Human Rights and Religious Freedom (ADHRRF).
